Creators without a site can connect an account
Platform properties show how your content performs on Google Search and Discover. They do not report how many times a post appeared inside Instagram — native Insights still covers that.
What's inside

Setup, then what to do with the numbers.

01
Connect the account
Add your Instagram account as its own property and verify it. Each account needs a separate property — there is no bulk add for agencies running several profiles.
02
Read the Performance report
Total clicks, impressions, and the actual search terms people typed before landing on your posts. Filter by post or by query to find what is working.
03
Read the Insights report
Which of your posts pull traffic in from Google, plus Achievements — milestones as the account gains ground in search.

Checked against Google's own documentation.

Every claim in this guide comes from Google Search Central documentation and Search Console Help, not from a blog post. Where Google has not confirmed something, the guide says so instead of guessing. Verified September 2026.
